
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you. I found last night’s session excellent
(and even slept well after it – as I mentioned, I have been having sleep problems recently) and
I am getting a great deal out of the MBSR course as a whole, despite my concerns about home
practice – that I am slowly improving on. Your style, voice, clear articulation of concepts
and questions to the group in addition to the safe and calm environment you create, are brilliant.
I know you are experiencing high stress yourself at the moment and the way you can still deliver
such a great session is highly impressive and appreciated. Thanks again, I am so pleased I signed up
to the course and optimistic that it will have lasting effects...

I’ve been meditating for a few years and was pleasantly surprised to take so much out

Found today incredibly useful. I arrived full of anxiety (I’d been awake til 3am worrying!).
Still feel calm now after working through stuff in today’s session. For me what the MBCT Course
seems to be doing is reinforcing that at every juncture I have a choice... I am not on auto-pilot,
I can choose to respond immediately or choose to wait for a more mindful moment. I feel like the
course is empowering me. Giving me a bit of control back... Ironically this means that I’m
relaxing more, nurturing myself more and trying to ’actively’ control a lot less.
Things that I’d forever fight I now see as outside of my control. I focus on things
I can control which in fact I overlooked before – like taking care of my health: eating,
resting, spending time with people who make me happy etc... and I am finding that this is
making me happier. Early days but I can see the benefits. I’m worrying less. There
were so many things keeping me busy as I tried to control & juggle them and it was a pointless
waste of energy! I actually felt a bit tearful at times in today’s session at the many years
I have wasted in this state...
